Amsterdam Old South is the neighbourhood whichs is known for all the richs people that live here and their beautiful buildings. When you walk around in Old South you will see it for yourself. This is where the big money is. Fancy cars, chique shops like in the P.C. Hooftstraat and culinary restaurants like Ron Gastrobar on the Amstelveense weg and Franklin Bar & Kitchen. For coffee I love to go to Coffee Concepts, Corner Bakery and George Bistro bar!
If you want to shop in smaller boutiques or specialty stores go to the Van Baerlestraat and Jacob Obrechtstraat. But remember… for fancy shopping and spending money you should go to the P.C. Hooftstraat.
But when you are a real tourist and not a local you should go to the beautiful Museumplein and take a picture as an souvenir at the iconic big ‘IAMSTERDAM’ letters at the Museumsquare District next to the Rijksmuseum.
Beside the Rijksmuseum you can also visit The Van Goghmuseum, Het Stedelijk museum, Mocomuseum and the Diamond museum.
Or if you want to listen to beautiful music visit a concert at the Concertgebouw!
