De Pijp is well known for the best Dutch market named the Albert Cuyp Market. Opened 6 days a week, except for Sundays. They have the best cheese, fish, fruit, market clothes, famous Dutch stroopwafels, souvenirs etc.

But the Pijp is not only famous for this market. Experienced a new wave of cool places that opened the doors. It’s one of the older neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. This is the place where hipsters like to shop at one of the trendy boutiques, healthy food lovers can eat at one of the many organic cafes and on the weekends this is the neighbourhood to be for drinks with friends at one of the many bars.

You can also get some food on the market and have a picknick in the small but beautiful Sarphatipark.

Did you know De Pijp is great for shopping too? Most shops are located around the trendy Gerard Doustraat, Van Woustraat and the Ferdinand Bolstraat.
